Miss Earth South Africa 
Annual Journals
Miss Earth South Africa is a programme that aims to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference. The programme is similar to a beauty pageant but the difference is that it helps to create an awareness of sustainable development, environment and wildlife. Each year they compile a journal of the projects and achievements for the year with the concept the same as the theme of the Gala Evening.

MESA Journal 2015
Connect to the Sound of the Earth​​​​​​​
The theme for 2015 was - Connect to the Sound of the Earth. This was brought into the visuals with map lines that gave a feel of sound vibrations. Maps was used in the background and as visuals throughout the journal along with musical instruments and notes. A hand was illustrated of an area map to link the earth and connection of touch. The hand and map lines was used in all marketing material for the year.

MESA Journal 2013
Everyday is Earth Day
For the 2013 journal the theme - everyday is earth day - was brought into the design with info-graphics, highlighting current environmental problems. Tips and advice are given throughout the book on how to make a difference as an individual. All the tips related to the projects and problems they took on for the year creating a link between their content and the conceptual information.

MESA Journal 2012
Anniversary Edition
For the tenth anniversary of MESA they did a journal that reflected the past years of projects, winners, travels and achievements. The theme was memories. The concept was carried through by using old paper as background giving it a scrapbook feel. It was further strengthened with black and white full page photos used throughout the journal.
