The first sketch was hand-painted in watercolors and it was inspired by my amazing kids. My son was crazy about dinosaurs and my daughter adored mermaids, so they requested a design featuring both of their favorite things. As time went by, my kids grew older and their interests evolved. About a year later, my friend, who has a twin boy and girl, told me about their upcoming birthday party. The girl wanted a princess party, while her brother was all about dinosaurs. So, her mom suggested having a princess and dino party. This inspired me to tweak the original design, turning the mermaids into princesses and adding dinosaurs, resulting in a super fun and colourful seamless pattern of dinosaurs and princesses.
I then continued to use individual items from the pattern to create standalone posters with words of love and encouragement.
