‘Hi there’ is inspired by the power of a greeting. Greeting a stranger, and brightening their day. Greeting a new acquaintance who might become your best friend, lover, or enemy. Maybe greeting a loved one for the first time in a long time. As the saying goes – a picture is worth a thousand words – I believe that one small word – ‘hi’ is the door to a thousand worlds. ‘Hi there’ is a mixed media abstract piece on paper. It is part of a series of six paintings that are based on the fragility and beauty of everyday moments build up from a background of bubble wrap print.
The original mixed media piece is scanned or photographed in high quality format, and taken, as is, to print.

All prints are printed on ‘Old Dutch paper’. The paper is warm white in colour and has a visible line structure giving the print a traditional look.
